We will once again be joining in with Christians across the Diocese of Canterbury for a Novena of Prayer, literally 9 days of prayer, from Ascension Day to Pentecost. This year our prayer will be focussed around St Francis Church, South Ashford.

The church will be open every day from 7am-7pm with short times of led prayer at 7am, 9am, 12noon, 3pm & 6.30pm.

Throughout the days there will be the opportunity to pray using the prayer stations or help with practical work in the grounds and church.

There will also be these specific events:

  • Friday 26th May 10am – Prayer walk around South Ashford meet at St Francis
  • Sunday 28th May 11am Holy Communion
  • Tuesday 30th May 1-2.30pm ‘Open Church’
  • Wednesday 31st May 10am Holy Communion

Pentecost concludes the Novena with a Ashford Town Team Communion Service in St Mary’s Great Chart at 10.30am, where we will be joined by The Ven Jo Kelly-Moore, Archdeacon of Canterbury

The week finishes with Pentecost Prayer and Praise at 6pm in St Francis.
